Viking Lesson

This Viking Lesson is the first that I created for my placement at Boyertown West Jr High with 7th graders. It is a 2 day lesson in which the students complete a jigsaw activity on the Life of Vikings. After sharing their answers with other members of the class, they write a journal entry about their life as a Viking. Two student examples are shown along with the lesson plans and jigsaw sheets.

Crispin Unit Plan Materials

During my time in 7th Grade at Boyertown, I developed a Unit Plan on Crispin: The Cross of Lead. This historical fiction novel was integrated to teach the unit on the Middle Ages. These lessons and materials are a few examples of what I did during this unit. Please contact me if you are interested in seeing more of what I did for my entire unit.

Foreign Policy Project

My second student teaching placement was at Blue Mountain High School in a 12th grade Government classroom. I taught a variety of levels including General, College Prep, and Honors. I created a project for my students in which they were assigned a historical topic dealing with United States foreign policy. This group chose to do a poster to present their information. The project and its requirements were differentiated for the class levels.
